**Pay: $75 / hour + super**
**Location: Canberra**
**Hours of work: 38hrs / week**
Provide Library and Multimedia services physically across two sites within Canberra and eighteen sites across the ACT virtually for a leading ACT State Government Department. You may be physically based in either of the two Libraries.
**Under limited direction of the Director, Library & Multimedia and collaborating with your colleagues you will provide day to day client services and perform in-depth reference and research services, plan and deliver training, and promote and innovate library services using, as appropriate, technology. You will**:
- Undertake general and in-depth evidence-based medical and health reference and research services. 
- Plan and deliver, developing training support documentation as required, client and team face-to-face and online training programs, in the effective use of eResources, information and research literacy, library services and online access issue resolution. 
- In collaboration with other library staff, provide day to day clients services and/or perform rostered service desk duties, online resource troubleshooting, document supply, collection maintenance, library administration and procedure development. 
- Promote library services to clients using virtual and traditional marketing tools. 
- Proactively recommend innovative ways to improve client services, service delivery and use of library systems to meet library client needs. Actively 
- Take part and collaborate on team projects.
**Experience**:
- Proven experience conducting medical evidence-based research, searches including general literature, citated references, grey literature and systematic, rapid, mixed methods or qualitative reviews. Or a willingness and aptitude to learn these research techniques. 
- Demonstrated experience in two or more of the following - rostered library service desk duties, online resource troubleshooting, document supply, library administration, procedure development, library service promotion, training program development and delivery, client service innovation or library projects. 
- Ability to build and maintain internal and professional networks, work positively, cooperatively and collaboratively, in a team environment. 
- Effectively adapt to operational and organisational change while providing support, about change to team members. 
- Well-developed liaison, written, verbal and digital communication skills, strong organisational and planning skills and a demonstrated ability to set personal priorities while working with others to ensure the delivery of client services within agreed times. 
- Ability to support and proactively take part in a culture of continuous improvement to deliver client services, projects and improve operational processes using efficient methods and technology to innovate. 
- Ability to acquire new skills and willingness to support others to develop new skills. 
- Relevant accredited degree in Library and Information Science recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association or equivalent qualifications and a minimum of two years' experience working professionally in a library or related information unit is highly desirable.
