Barwon Health's Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services (MHDAS) is one of the largest regional mental health services in Australia, delivering comprehensive, recovery‐oriented care across acute, community and specialist programs. Recognised as a leader in mental health reform, MHDAS is at the forefront of innovative service delivery aligned to Victoria's Royal Commission into Mental Health.
This is a unique opportunity to deliver specialist psychiatric care within the Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MHHITH) service, an innovative model providing acute, intensive treatment in consumers' homes as an alternative to hospital admission.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering high‐quality, person‐centred care that supports recovery while reducing the need for inpatient admission.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide psychiatric assessment and treatment in community/home settings
* Support clinical decision‐making for high acuity consumers
* Contribute to multidisciplinary care planning and service development
What We Are Looking For
You are a collaborative and adaptable Consultant Psychiatrist who:
* Holds Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists
* Has experience or interest in community‐based acute care models
* Values innovative, recovery‐oriented practice
