Hiring: Cybersecurity Engineer
Cyber83 Australia is looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to join the team.
This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into cybersecurity or build hands‐on experience across both SOC operations and technical security engineering.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor security alerts and events
* Investigate potential threats and incidents
* Assist with incident response and escalation
* Support day‐to‐day SOC operations
* Work with and support security tools (EDR, SIEM, AV, PAM, etc.)
* Assist with deployment, configuration, and tuning of security solutions
* Support firewall, endpoint, and network security configurations
* Perform system, network, and security troubleshooting
* Assist with basic automation and scripting tasks
Requirements
* CompTIA A+ (Preference)
* Currently studying or planning to complete Network+ (N+) or Security+ (S+) [Essential]
* Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and system administration
* Strong interest in cybersecurity operations and technical implementation
Nice to Have
* Exposure to EDR, SIEM, firewalls, AV, or PAM solutions
* Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python)Lab or home cybersecurity projects
* Familiarity with Windows/Linux administration
