Centre Director – Brand New Centre in Avoca
Location: Avoca, Victoria
Work Type: Full-time, Permanent
Overview
Lead the opening of a brand-new, government-owned early learning centre scheduled to open in 2027.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day‐to‐day operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support educational excellence and mentor staff.
- Drive a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and child‐centred practice.
- Foster strong relationships within the local community.
- Lead a dedicated team and manage the centre's strategic development.
Requirements
- Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education or ACECQA‐approved equivalent.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Centre Director in an Australian early learning centre.
- Demonstrated management and leadership experience in early childhood education and care.
- Extensive understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Framework (NQF), Child Safe Standards, Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support educational teams.
- Strong communication and relationship‐building skills with staff, children, families, and community stakeholders.
