Role Overview
- The Mental Health Clinician is responsible for brief and ongoing interventions and the development of collaborative individual care plans.
- You will function autonomously and collaboratively with other clinicians to plan and develop services for people with mental health issues and their families, aligned with best practice standards, evidence-based care, and the service's strategic direction.
Requirements
- Must have one of the following: Full AHPRA registration (Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse) OR AASW registration as a Social Worker
- Knowledge and skills from qualifications and experience in a mental health service delivery environment
- Judgment and evaluation skills in assessment and care planning
- Understanding of public, NGO, private mental health systems and related community programs
- Interpersonal skills to work with people who have or are at risk of mental illness
- Organisational and time-management skills, ability to work under pressure and balance tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Understanding of duty of care, privacy, and confidentiality
- Blue Card eligibility and willingness to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
