Initial 3 month contract NSW State Govenment$700 p/d + superYour new roleAs the WHS Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality work health and safety (WHS) compliance, reporting and advisory services that support organisational objectives. Working as part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of WHS systems, policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements and contemporary best practice.

This role has a strong focus on governance, risk management and continuous improvement, while also delivering practical, people-centred safety and wellbeing solutions. You will provide expert advice across a diverse range of stakeholders and contribute to improving safety, wellbeing and workforce outcomes across the organisation.
Deliver WHS compliance and reporting initiatives across the organisation, providing expert advice on legislative and regulatory requirementsAnalyse and report on WHS, workers' compensation and health data, identifying trends, emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.Develop, implement and monitor WHS prevention and action plans across multiple sites.Provide expert guidance to managers and senior leaders on SafeWork NSW matters, including documentation, risk mitigation and regulatory engagementConduct WHS audits, inspections and internal investigations, identifying gaps, root causes and evidence-based improvement strategiesCoordinate WHS inspections and work closely with site managers to ensure risks are identified, monitored and remediated.Prepare high-quality WHS reports and briefings for Executive leadership, Audit and Risk Committees and Boards
What you'll need to succeedQualifications in WHS or equivalent demonstrated experienceProven experience developing and implementing WHS policies, procedures and training programsStrong knowledge of WHS legislation, systems and best practice, including psychosocial risk managementDemonstrated experience in WHS data collection, analysis and interpretation, with the ability to present insights clearly and effectivelyHigh-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholdersProficiency in Microsoft Office and WHS information and record management systemsA proactive, analytical approach and the ability to balance governance requirements with practical solutions
