Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our early intervention services, you will work closely with families and children to support their development and participation in daily life.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to contribute to the delivery of high-quality services to infants and young children with delays/disabilities and their families. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing individualised intervention plans, and implementing evidence-based therapy to support children's progress.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs and develop effective intervention plans to address these needs.
2. Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to support children's development and participation in daily activities.
3. Work collaboratively with families, other healthcare professionals, and stakeholders to promote children's progress and well-being.
4. Select, implement, and monitor assistive technology and mobility equipment prescriptions to support children's independence and participation.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum Bachelor qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration or membership with relevant professional body.
* A current driver's license and willingness to obtain necessary checks (NDIS Worker Screening Check, NSW Working with Children's Check, and VIC Working with Children's Check).
* Experience working with infants and young children with delays/disabilities and their families, including adapting home, play, and learning environments.
* Knowledge of relevant formal and standardised assessments, setting goals, and implementing evidence-based therapy across a diverse range of disorders.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills, ability to build strong rapport and relationships with clients, carers, staff, and external stakeholders.
