The Role
An experienced Inventory Controller with a friendly team-oriented approach to work is sought to collaborate with and report to our Warehouse and Logistics Manager. This role is vibrant and diverse, combining analysis, tech and people. The role is 100% onsite, based in Truganina, and the hours are 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday to Friday to match the hours the entire Warehouse team is operationally. Together, our goal is to keep inventory organised, have a and everything running smoothly!
What You’ll Be Doing
* Generate and maintain reports on inventory health, stock turns, and aged stock.
* Support end-of-month reconciliations and reporting requirements.
* Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to ensure stock availability aligns with business needs.
* Lead investigations into missing, damaged, or mislabelled items.
* Assist Sales and Customer Service teams with any inventory-related issues or queries.
* Process purchase orders and invoices accurately.
* Ensure the precise receipt of incoming goods and stock.
* Monitor low stock lines and provide proactive insights to the buying team.
* Obtain the necessary shipping documentation from suppliers and freight forwarders.
* Track orders and manage logistics, ensuring quality, quantity, and addressing any delivery issues.
* Prepare and maintain inventory reports.
* Provide general administrative assistance.
What We’re Looking For
* Recent working knowledge of forecasting models and optimisation of stock levels.
* Previous experience in inventory or supply chain roles within warehousing, distribution, or FMCG.
* High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask.
* Good communicator who’s comfortable working across teams and departments and can pick up the phone and build rapport with providers.
* Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
* 3+ years experience in, and strong working knowledge of, SAP Business One, Korber WMS, and/or Shopify (or similar platforms).
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence with data/reporting.
* Excellent numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Data Science and/or adjacent fields preferred.
* Cert III in Supply Chain Operations will be considered with the right experience.
