We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Team Member to join our team. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and presentation standards.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times.
* Monitor and regulate cooking temperatures of ovens, grills, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Ensure that all food items are stored and handled safely in temperature-controlled facilities.
* Season and present dishes with care, ensuring great flavour and presentation.
* Cater to special dietary requirements as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen at all times.
* Assist with stock control, portioning, and daily prep tasks.
* Support training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff or apprentices.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Kitchen Team Member in a fast-paced kitchen environment is essential.
* A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices is required.
* The ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team is crucial.
* Great attention to detail and passion for delivering quality meals is necessary.
* Flexibility to work across weekdays, weekends, and evenings is required.
