Our client based in the northern Gold Coast area is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join the team in a permanent full time role. Your role will be responsible for assembling, maintaining and repairing wheelchairs and other mobility aids as well as assisting the team in the service department.
We are looking for a professional person that can work autonomously, has strong troubleshooting and technical abilities as well as having a great perosnality to build rapport with clients. You will be supported by other technicians back at the workshop.
Reporting to the Service Manager as part of the service team, your role will include a combination of on the road service work, troubleshooting mechanical issues, repairs and assembly. You will be skilled in identifying faults, with the aptitude to finding solutions for your clients.
- At least 2 years minimum experience in a similar service role would be ideal
- Experience with wheelchairs, bikes, mobility aids or similar devices would be ideal but not essential.
- Electrical/electronics experience would also be highly regarded but not essential
- Metal fabrication experience required - welding, fabrication, manual lathes ideal
- A current C class driver's licence minimum is essential
- You must be able to undergo a Police Check or have a current Blue card
- For this particular role, due to the clientele visited, it is a requirement to be COVID vaccinated
- Excellent troubleshooting ability
- High attention to detail and pride in your work
- great communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients
