About the Role:
The Retail Marketing Specialist drives showroom traffic and local sales volume through high-impact, dealer-ready retail campaigns. You will translate national brand strategy into tactical local execution. This role owns the end-to-end retail creative rollout, manages the Co-op funding process, and leads active marketing engagement with the dealer network. By directing agency partners and internal teams, you will ensure all local marketing is commercially sharp, legally compliant, and delivered to tight deadlines. Ultimately, your goal is to make it simple and highly effective for dealers to execute local activity and win in their market.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Development & Campaign Execution
* Support with agency, supplier and internal briefing process, translating retail objectives into sharp, actionable briefs for creative agencies and internal production teams.
* Manage rigorous production timelines, ensuring all retail assets from POS to digital are delivered on schedule to support fast-paced monthly offer cycles.
* Facilitate the legal and compliance approval workflow, ensuring all creative, pricing, and DISCLAIMERS meet Australian Consumer Law and brand standards.
* Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, aligning internal product, legal, and sales teams to ensure creative accuracy before dealer rollout.
* Drive high-impact creative output, holding agencies accountable for quality and performance while maintaining brand consistency across the network.
* Facilitate regular dealer marketing meetings, providing clear updates on upcoming national activity and local opportunities.
* Author marketing bulletins and internal comms that simplify complex campaign details into actionable dealer steps
* Serve as support for dealer marketing queries, offering supportive and firm guidance on brand standards.
* Drive adoption of self-service tools within the dealer network to increase local marketing frequency.
Local Area Marketing Support
* Increase local market share by partnering with dealers to build proactive, data-led marketing plans.
* Maximise Co-op fund utilisation by pitching high-impact local media opportunities and tactical campaigns directly to the network..
* Drive a proactive marketing culture by transitioning dealers away from reactive advertising towards sustained local visibility.
* Ensure timely dealer cash flow, processing Co-op claims accurately and efficiently against established brand guidelines.
* Maintain strict audit compliance, securely managing and filing all dealer documentation, invoices, and proof of execution.
* Deliver clear financial communication, issuing prompt remittances and straightforward Co-op Statements to the network.
* Audit dealer engagement levels across communication channels to ensure key messaging is being consumed and actioned.
Retail Performance & Reporting
* Demonstrate retail campaign ROI, tracking performance by blending owned channel analytics with dealer-level data.
* Identify local growth opportunities, analysing showroom traffic, lead generation, and sales conversions to optimise future spend.
* Provide executive visibility, delivering concise performance scorecards that highlight local marketing effectiveness to senior leadership.
* Connect local spend to business outcomes, reporting on how Co-op investment directly influences retail volume and market share.
What You Bring
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
* 3-5 years of hands‐on marketing experience, ideally within the automotive, retail, or dealership industry
* Strong ability to develop and execute multi‐channel marketing campaigns, working with both internal teams and external agencies to achieve brand and sales goals.
* Skilled in campaign performance tracking and analytics, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and ROI improvements.
* Strong organisational and project management skills — capable of managing marketing materials, events, and dealership activations simultaneously.
* Experience supporting showroom events, trade shows, and product launches with strong attention to detail and brand presentation.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments including Sales, After‐Sales, and Administration.
* A strong communicator and relationship builder with excellent attention to detail.
