Job Description
The role of a Production Specialist is to play a crucial part in the optimisation of manufacturing processes, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and maintaining high-quality standards.
This includes creating, maintaining, and ensuring accessibility and training of unambiguous procedures for start-up, normal operation, abnormal situations, and emergencies. The Production Specialist also reviews alarm rates regularly and identifies bad actors that require remediation.
Additionally, the role involves overseeing process chemical stocks and consumption, ensuring availability when required. This also includes planning and executing all operational activities that support broader asset management strategies – i.e., maintenance, projects, and turnaround events.
The Production Specialist will work closely with teams across the refinery to address challenges and implement improvements, including operations, maintenance, engineering, technology, and supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

* Create, maintain, and ensure accessibility and training of unambiguous procedures for start-up, normal operation, abnormal situations, and emergencies
* Review alarm rates regularly and identify bad actors that require remediation
* Oversee process chemical stocks and consumption, ensuring availability when required
* Plan and execute all operational activities that support broader asset management strategies – i.e., maintenance, projects, and turnaround events
* Work closely with teams across the refinery to address challenges and implement improvements

Required Skills and Qualifications
Able to plan and manage your time, work to deadlines, and changing priorities
Excellent communicator and problem solver
Comfortable making decisions, using your judgement and experience to find the best solution
Operational, Maintenance, Trade or Engineering Background preferred
Experienced within a Dangerous Goods or Major Hazard Facility
Experienced in a relevant industry (preferably Oil & Gas, industrial, Mining or Power Generation)
