Financial Controller – Darwin Ford | Subaru | BMW$130,000 - $170,000 + super per annum depending on experience
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Financial Controller to join a leading, multi-franchise automotive dealership in Darwin.
This dealership is the only Ford, Subaru and BMW operation in Darwin, operating from a recently redeveloped facility and representing Ford — one of Australia’s highest-volume automotive brands.
This role is suited to a hands-on, commercially minded finance leader who enjoys being close to the business, owning the numbers, and supporting operational leaders through clear, practical financial insight.
The RoleReporting to the Group Financial Controller and working closely with the Dealer Principal and General Manager of Operations, you will be responsible for the financial stewardship of the dealership while acting as a trusted business partner to the leadership team.
Key responsibilities include:Full P&L ownership and financial controlMonthly reporting, forecasting and budgetingWorking capital and cash flow managementInventory, floorplan and debtor oversightProviding commercial insight to support operational decision-makingSupporting senior management with clear, practical financial analysisEnsuring compliance with group, audit and OEM requirementsLeading and developing the on-site finance team
About YouYou are an experienced Financial Controller or Senior Management Accountant who:Is confident managing complex operational businessesIs comfortable supporting and challenging senior stakeholdersHas a practical, down-to-earth leadership styleUnderstands the balance between financial discipline and operational realitiesIs focused on improving performance and supporting sustainable growthAutomotive or retail experience is desirable but not essential.CA / CPA qualification is preferred.
