About Cadia
Our Cadia Valley Operation in Current South Wales is situated about 25 kilometres from Orange and 250 kilometres west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold‑rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes Cadia East Mine, globally renowned for its block‑caving underground mining method.
We acknowledge the Wiradjuri people, traditional custodians of the land surrounding Cadia, and proudly run an Indigenous Buddy Program to enrich the workplace experience for our Indigenous employees. Who we're looking for
We’re looking for skilled Fitters or Mechanical/Maintenance Technicians to join our Cadia mine site. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Key responsibilities
Demonstrate a strong commitment by performing Safe Work execution.
Show willingness to learn and be a part of a team.
Monitor and report on status of equipment.
Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Assist with shutdown, co‑ordination, and execution.
Perform maintenance on crushers, conveyor systems, dewatering systems, dust collectors, ventilation systems, pumps and more.
You will also possess the following
A current trade qualification as a Fitter/Boilermaker combined with experience in fixed plant or underground mining is essential.
Experience on various types of crushers, conveyor systems, dewatering systems, ventilation systems, pumps and more (desirable).
The ability to identify major hazards within assigned tasks and implement the correct critical controls prior to starting any work.
Basic computer skills and experience with SAP or similar system would be advantageous.
