Contract opportunity, $80-$84/hr
Are you an experienced Company Secretary seeking an exciting contract opportunity?
We are partnering with a leading South Australian organization seeking an exceptional individual to lead the Company Secretariat team. The role involves providing advice and support to the Board of Directors and Executive, helping them fulfill their fiduciary duties and oversee key government initiatives.
This unique opportunity requires a strategic leader with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You will develop and lead the company secretary functions, oversee governance, manage budgets and vendors, and drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and delivering company secretary documentation, resources, and tools to support the business, and managing all Board governance requirements.
Coordinating, preparing for, and attending all Board and subcommittee meetings.
Managing the budget for the Company Secretariat function.
Managing procurement and contract arrangements to ensure value and participating in tender activities.
Identifying initiatives, tools, and KPIs to enhance the measurement and continuous improvement of the Company Secretariat and Corporate Legal functions.
Demonstrating strong leadership to attract, retain, and develop a skilled legal and compliance team, strengthening the organization's reputation as an employer of choice.
Qualifications and skills you will possess:
Proven experience supporting a Board of Directors and senior executive teams.
Superior communication and writing skills, with experience in preparing high-level documentation, board papers, minutes, and reports.
Experience with Diligent software for secretariat management is highly desirable.
Exceptional stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Experience in leading, managing, and motivating teams.
