About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Senior Practice Leader provides guidance and leadership to grow teams and promote best practice, quality, and safety in delivering NDIS services.
The Practice Leader ensures adherence to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework and person-centered, clinical governance standards. They work closely with services to identify and implement improvements in quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
* Creating programs for community participation and respite tailored to individual needs
* Supporting the team to deliver excellent care while monitoring performance metrics
* Overseeing the quality of the customer experience
* Encouraging a diverse, high-performing environment
* Collaborating with department heads, managers, compliance, and support workers, ensuring legislative and standards compliance
* Implementing behavior support plans (BSPs) to provide early intervention and reduce restrictive practices
* Reporting incidents, restrictive practices, and practice variations to the NDIS Commission within required timeframes
* Serving as a key contact for NDIS service delivery
* Leading successful audits and assessments
* Providing regular performance and satisfaction reports to ELT & CEO, highlighting achievements and challenges
About you
To succeed, you should have:
* Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, behavioral sciences, disability, or related fields
* Legal right to work in Australia
* Satisfactory Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working with Children Check
* Completion of NDIS E-Learning Modules
* Evidence of flu/covid vaccinations (as required)
* Training in Child Safe Environments and Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse or Neglect (RRHAN)
* First Aid and CPR certifications
* Driver's license
Experience required includes:
* Knowledge of the NDIS Act 2013, practice standards, quality, and safeguarding obligations
* Understanding of Child Safe Legislation, behavior support planning, and restrictive practices reporting
* Experience with complex autism and developmental delays
* Proven ability to build quality client relationships, demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and support teams and families
* Project management skills and successful management of diverse teams
