Daawat-e-Zaika Indian Restaurant is looking for a Full-Time Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team. This is an urgent role and we are seeking someone who can start ASAP .
We specialize in authentic Indian cuisine and also handle regular catering orders and private functions. The role suits someone confident working in a busy commercial kitchen with hands-on cooking experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and cooking a wide range of Indian dishes including but not limited to curries, tandoori items, biryanis, and snacks
* Making base gravies, sauces, and bulk preparations for daily service
* Assisting with menu planning and seasonal dish additions
* Managing food preparation for catering and function orders
* Ensuring consistent taste, portioning, and presentation standards
* Monitoring food quality throughout preparation and service
* Supervising kitchen workflow during busy periods
* Training and guiding junior kitchen staff when required
* Maintaining hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards
* Handling stock rotation, storage, and ingredient prep
* Supporting cost control by minimizing wastage
Role Requirements
* Minimum 1–2 years experience working as a Chef/Cook
* Experience in Indian cuisine and commercial kitchen operations
* Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
* Good communication and time management skills
* Must be available for varied shifts and catering work
* Ready for immediate start
