About the role
We currently have positions available for qualified, reliable and passionate Personal Care Workers to join our team in Wagga Wagga travelling to Coolamon and Junee. It is preferred that you are an experienced Aged Care Worker or Disability Support Worker. You will need to be friendly, positive and demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You'll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.
Responsibilities will include:
* Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client
* Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing and domestic duties
* Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship and support
* Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities
* Preparing food, feeding clients and administering medications
* Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client
* Responding to emergency situations
* Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered
Essential Criteria:
* Minimum Certificate III in Individual Care or equivalent
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
* Endorsed to administer medication (desirable)
* Comprehensive car insurance (desirable)
* COVID19 Vaccination (Mandatory)
Ability to Obtain:
* National Police Check
* NSW Working with Children Check
* Drivers Licence
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* First Aid & CPR Certificate
