High‑growth company seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst to drive planning, performance, and decision support across a multi‑site network. You'll blend hands‑on modelling with sharp commercial partnering to lift profitability and speed of execution while leading and mentoring two analysts

Our client is a leading company with a multi‑brand network across Australia and New Zealand. They operate end‑to‑end through trade, retail and specialist wholesale channels, with thousands of employees, 1,000+ locations, and revenues in the billions. You'll join a networks division known for depth of product, operational scale and disciplined growth while enjoying the pace and learning of a business still evolving its data, systems and processes.

Description

* Own planning cycles: budgets, rolling forecasts, driver‑based models and scenario analysis
* Build/maintain financial models for pricing, margin, product, branch and regional profitability
* Deliver month‑end insights: P&L review, variance analysis, KPIs and action plans
* Partner with sales, operations and supply chain to lift performance and cost efficiency
* Develop investment cases and capex reviews; support greenfield growth and M&A diligence
* Create dashboards/BI to improve speed and quality of decisions; push automation and process uplift
* Uphold governance (review): balance sheet recs, journals, indirect tax support (FBT/GST), audit preparation
* Mentor and review analysts work; upskill non‑finance leaders; drive change through clarity and influence

Profile

* Background: Senior analyst/manager level FP&A or commercial finance in a large, complex organisation (few hundred million+ revenue). Public practice with relevant experience welcome; true industry/commercial exposure required.
* Technical: Advanced Excel‑based modelling (driver‑based, scenarios, sensitivities), strong P&L/balance sheet fluency; dashboarding/BI literate (e.g., Power BI/Tableau)
* ERP savvy (any major ERP; specific systems a plus)
* CA Qualified; 5+ years' commercial/management accounting/FP&A
* Style: Crisp communicator who converts complexity into clear actions; low‑ego, high‑ownership
* Grit: Thrives in pressure, late pushes and tight closes; helps teammates hit the line every time
* Work rights: Full, unrestricted Australian work rights (indefinitely)
