Casual Chef – The Mex, Ocean Grove
The Mex is a vibrant Tex-Mex restaurant located in Ocean Grove, known for delivering fresh, flavour-packed food and warm, welcoming service. We're looking for an enthusiastic Casual Chef to join our kitchen team.
About the Role:
* Casual position offering flexibility (approx. 20–30 hours per week).
* Typical shifts run from 12pm until close. Flexible start times available.
* Work as part of a supportive team in a busy, dynamic kitchen.
* Prepare and cook a range of Tex-Mex inspired dishes to a consistent high standard.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen (Mex or similar cuisine a bonus, but not essential).
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining quality.
* A genuine passion for food and delivering a great dining experience.
* Availability across evenings and weekends.
