Job Description:
We are seeking a Community & Sports Program Officer to join our Active Living team. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to shape memorable experiences that strengthen community spirit through sport and recreation.
This is a fixed-term full-time contract for a period of 12 months. The role will involve creating welcoming inclusive environments that encourage community wellbeing and active living across diverse communities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A relevant tertiary qualification or comparable experience in community sport and recreation or a related field
* Working with Children Check Clearance
* Child Safe Environment (Mandated Notification) training or willingness to undertake training
* Experience in community sport recreation or facility operations including working with diverse communities
* Proven ability to develop coordinate and deliver a range of community sport and recreation programs
* Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
* Knowledge of contemporary sport and recreation trends and community development principles
* Ability to apply risk management principles and processes across programs and facilities
