We're looking for an experienced and compassionate Intake and Triage Supervisor to lead a dedicated team ensuring victims receive timely, fair and supportive service.

About the role
Reporting to the FAS Manager – Operations, you will oversee the Intake and Triage team, ensuring high‑quality, consistent, and timely assessment of applications.
You will:
* Manage and support a team of Intake and Triage Officers
* Oversee all initial application reviews and completeness checks
* Make interim financial assistance decisions on urgent matters
* Act as the first escalation point for complex cases
* Monitor service targets and daily operational workflow
* Contribute to policies, procedures and process improvements
* Drive culturally safe, trauma‑informed practice across the team
This is a dynamic role where leadership, empathy and strong decision‑making will make a real impact.
About you
You are an experienced leader with a strong background in service delivery, intake, assessment or case management within a complex environment.
You bring:
Technical expertise
Experience supervising intake/application assessment teams
Ability to make informed decisions within legislative or policy frameworks
Understanding of victim services, trauma‑informed practice and intersectionality
Knowledge of family violence and sexual assault dynamics
Experience using Salesforce or similar case management systems
Payments experience (desirable)
Personal qualities
Resilience and confidence in decision‑making
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage difficult conversations with sensitivity
Inclusive leadership style that supports diverse teams
Critical thinking and problem‑solving capability
Qualifications (desirable)
Tertiary qualifications in social work, community services, psychology, criminology, justice, business administration or related fields.

Salary is in accordance with the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement 2020 (VPS4 classification).
