MYAC Resources is expanding its manufacturing workforce and is seeking multiple skilled Sheet Metal Workers for full-time roles in Perth, WA. These positions focus on precision sheet metal fabrication using thin metal (0.9–2mm), including cutting, folding, forming, and assembly of light steel components for industrial and commercial applications.
This is not a general welding role — we are specifically seeking Sheet Metal Workers with hands-on experience working with very thin metal (0.9–2mm) who take pride in accuracy, clean finishes, and detailed fabrication work.

About the Role
As a Sheet Metal Worker with MYAC Resources, you will be responsible for producing fabricated thin metal parts such as panels, brackets, frames, ducts, and custom components. Your work will directly support manufacturing output, quality standards, and on-time delivery.
You will primarily work across sheet metal fabrication, machine operation, assembly, and general workshop production tasks.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Sheet Metal Fabrication (0.9–2mm)
* Cut, fold, form, and assemble thin sheet metal components to specification.
* Work confidently with 0.9–2mm materials, maintaining accuracy and finish quality.
* Read and interpret workshop and engineering drawings.
* Perform grinding, deburring, and finishing for clean, professional results.
* Carry out light MIG or spot welding only where required for assembly (not production welding).
Machine Operation
Operate fabrication machinery, including:
* Press brake
* Guillotine
* Folding machines
* Punches
* General sheet metal workshop tools
* Complete basic machine setups and pre-start checks.
* Identify and report equipment issues promptly.
Quality & Compliance
* Follow production procedures and tight fabrication tolerances.
* Conduct in-process checks to ensure components meet quality standards.
* Work within an ISO 9001–aligned manufacturing environment.
Safety & Housekeeping
* Maintain strict adherence to WHS policies and PPE requirements.
* Participate in toolbox talks and contribute to a safety-first culture.
* Keep work areas clean, organised, and hazard-free.
Production Support
* Assist with material handling, packing, and assembly.
* Collaborate with team members to meet daily and weekly production targets.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across productivity, safety, and quality.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
* Demonstrated experience working with thin sheet metal (0.9–2mm).
* Strong ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
* Experience operating press brakes, guillotines, and folding machines.
* High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
* Strong safety awareness, reliability, and teamwork skills.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
* Trade qualification in Sheet Metal Fabrication or Engineering.
* Light MIG welding experience for assembly purposes.
* Forklift licence.
* Experience producing panels, brackets, ducting, frames, or fabricated sheet metal components.
