About the Role Your new role is an important step in ensuring the excellence of our site production services, coordination and key projects. You will focus on leading the strong performance of your teams to meeting our production schedules whilst promoting our strong safety values. This position is based at our Townsville site and reports to the Northern Region Manufacturing Manager. Responsibilities include: Leading, motivating and driving a safety, quality and operational excellence environment which encourages team involvement Actively utilising skills in lean manufacturing to minimise waste and drive operational improvement Utilising root cause analysis to effectively address any OEE or quality issues Reviewing plant and equipment layout and processes, utilising time and motion studies, project teams etc. and manage resulting change/lean manufacturing projects Reducing costs through initiatives related to scrap and waste, whether through product or tooling design improvements, reuse of materials, or in relation to other aspects of the manufacturing process About you Minimum 5 years' experience leading a manufacturing environment Current driver's license Experience in plastics manufacturing seen as an advantage (extrusion etc) Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical/Business related disciplines Experience in analysis, problem solving and project management Specific experience in resolving complex extrusion problems Excellent knowledge of manufacturing and extrusion processes, automation and automated assembly principles A hands-on approach to leadership and team management Sound knowledge of maintenance principles to enable effective preventative maintenance and process control objectives Benefits: Generous paid parental leave for both primary and secondary carers Annual bonus based on performance Access to our Employee Assistance Program for staff and family members Employee Recognition Programs and Service Awards Global organisation with career development opportunities We are committed to creating a workplace that values diversity and inclusivity.
