About The Role
As our next Diesel Fitter, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high‑quality solutions and results. Our QCoal Northern Hub Coal Project is situated 10km south of Collinsville in the Bowen Basin.
Responsibilities
* Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentation
* Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change-outs to a high standard
* Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems
* Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
* Conduct required inspections to maximise equipment utilisation
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
* A Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or equivalent qualification
* Post-trade experience in the mining or heavy earthmoving industry
* Hands-on experience with general maintenance, breakdowns, component change-outs, and servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment
* A current driver's licence
* Current Standard 11 certification or willingness to obtain
* A proactive attitude toward safety and a commitment to fostering a positive safety culture
