Occupational Health Nurse Role Overview
This opportunity involves working as an AHPRA Registered Nurse/Paramedic to fulfill the role of Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) joining the Health and Safety team at our Kanowna Belle Operations in Kalgoorlie. The 8 days on, 6 days off roster requires 12-hour shifts.
* Provide emergency and non-emergency assistance and health care to site workers.
* Assist in managing the site's processes in relation to health emergency preparedness through regular review and updating of emergency procedures and response systems.
* Provide relevant health care training and coaching as required by managers and including members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
* Participate in emergency response training to understand roles fulfilled during emergency response.
* Manage emergency health facilities and assets onsite to ensure timely, coordinated, and professional response.
* Assist the Health and Safety Department with projects as directed, ensuring project compliance and quality while identifying improvement opportunities including occupational health and hygiene, health programs, and administration of workers' compensation claims.
Key Responsibilities
* Health Care Provision
o Deliver emergency and non-emergency healthcare services to site personnel.
o Collaborate with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to respond to emergencies effectively.
* Emergency Preparedness
o Review and update emergency procedures and response systems regularly.
o Ensure the site is equipped with necessary emergency health facilities and assets.
* Training and Coaching
o Develop and deliver health care training programs as needed.
o Coach managers and ERT members on health care best practices.
* Project Support
o Collaborate with the Health and Safety Department on various projects.
o Identify opportunities for improvement in occupational health and hygiene, health programs, and workers' compensation claims administration.
What You'll Need
