About the role

H.U. Partners' are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our growing team in our Wayville office. This full‑time role will see you take on a pivotal position in supporting our small‑business clients with all their bookkeeping needs.


What you'll be doing

* Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date financial records for a portfolio of small‑business clients
* Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
* Preparing and submitting Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other tax documents
* Reconciling bank and credit card statements
* Providing bookkeeping support and advice to clients as required
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
* Ensuring client records are compliant with all relevant accounting standards and legislation
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of bookkeeping processes and systems


What we're looking for

* Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior bookkeeping or accounting role
* Strong working knowledge of accounting software such as MYOB, Xero or QuickBooks
* Demonstrated experience with Xero accounting software is essential
* Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and client service skills
* Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications
