St Mary's Catholic Church is seeking a suitably experienced Parish Secretary to join the Bordertown Parish Office. This position is offered as a permanent, part-time role working 3 hours per week on a Tuesday.

About the Role:
The Parish Secretary provides essential administrative and secretarial support to the Parish Priest and Parish staff, while serving as a key point of contact for parishioners and members of the public. This is a varied and rewarding role that requires a welcoming, professional and calming presence. The Parish Secretary responds to general enquiries, assists those seeking support from the Parish, and helps ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of parish activities. Strong communication, organisation, and a genuine desire to serve the community are central to this role.
Key duties include:
* Manage incoming calls, emails, visitors, and general office correspondence.
* Assist with information and take bookings for marriages and baptisms.
* Prepare, print, and distribute newsletters, booklets, flyers and presentations.
* Maintain Parish diary, records, spreadsheets and databases.
* Maintain inventory and order stock as required.

* Highly developed organisational skills with high attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal skills to contribute positively to the Parish Team
* Efficient and high quality administrative skills
* Demonstrated ability in the usage of Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Publisher).
