We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cost Accountant with 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost analysis, inventory management, and financial reporting, with the ability to provide valuable insights to support business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform cost analysis and prepare detailed reports on cost variances, standard costs, and profitability.
* Maintain and reconcile inventory records, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
* Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
* Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate reporting of manufacturing costs.
* Partner with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
* Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processes, particularly related to manufacturing costs and inventory.
* Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
* Support audits by preparing documentation and answering auditor inquiries.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
* 5+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting.
* Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred.
