About the role
Reporting to the Construction Operations Manager, Pacific Marine Group is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to take the lead on marine construction projects, in both national (east coast) and international locations in the Pacific Region.
With responsibility for the planning, coordination and control of the project, you will work with our internal and international teams as well as our clients to ensure we continue to deliver a high-quality project outcome, in line with contractual objectives and project scope.
This role requires you to work on projects away from the office so there is a necessity to be able to travel for long periods of time.
Responsibilities
Managing and leading multi-disciplinary project work, including day-to-day execution of construction operations such as barges and piling.
Leading, managing and directing a team of Project Supervisors and Project Engineers to ensure the successful completion of the projects.
Contract administration, quality assurance, control and documentation management.
Liaising with management and with clients to report on project status, timeline, budgets, risks and any other critical factors.
About the candidate
Tertiary qualifications (Engineering or Project Management).
Strong background in project management with a high logistics or support services component.
Experience leading and managing multi-disciplinary project work.
Piling experience (desirable).
Tender management or experience (desirable).
A confident communicator with outstanding time management and organisational skills.
Approach focused on the safety and quality of work being completed.
The successful candidate must have full and current Australian working rights or appropriate visa requirements.
Candidates will be subject to drug and alcohol testing and may be required to undergo a medical and/or police check.
