About this opportunity
Supervise and lead Council's Plumbing and Building Assessments team, to ensure efficient delivery of plumbing and drainage services. Provide strategic oversight, resource and budget management, policy input, and staff supervision to maintain compliance and service excellence.

* Supervise Plumbing Inspectors and Senior Plumbing Inspector to ensure high quality compliant service delivery.
* Conduct development appraisals, identify training needs and manage staff development.
* Oversee Work Health and Safety compliance in the team, including risk management.
* Contribute to operational planning, service delivery strategies, and policy development.
* Monitor service delivery performance and make recommendations for improvements.
* Prepare budget submissions and manage financial performance for the Plumbing section.
* Establish and maintain effective working relations with internal and external stakeholders to support plumbing service delivery.
About you…
* Licensed Plumber and Drainer, qualifications in Construction Hydraulics.
* Proven supervisory and leadership experience.
* Strong understanding of plumbing and drainage legislation and Council policies.
* Knowledge of service delivery, performance monitoring and budget management.
* Prior supervisory experience in plumbing, construction or local government environment.
