Join Ventia as a Field Technician in a permanent position in Mount St. John, QLD. As the Field Technician, you’ll be hands-on in the field, working on maintenance, and restoration activities to keep services running smoothly. You’ll help shape how communities stay connected by delivering work that meets the highest standards. This position requires flexibility for travel, time away from home, and being on an after-hours on-call roster, perfect for someone who thrives in a agile, goal-driven environment

Responsibilities:
- Splicing, jointing, jumpering, and testing
- Fault diagnosis and repair of NBN networks
- Assist with planning and documentation of works
- Provide guidance and mentoring to team members
- Promote a safe work environment by identifying hazards, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
- Report delays and maintain clear communication with customers and stakeholders
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Have solid experience in cabling, testing and fault finding within the NBN network
- NBN Enable card (or willingness to obtain)
- Traffic Management Level 2
- First Aid and CPR
- Pole Top Rescue (desirable)
- Energex/Ergon pole access (desirable)
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driver’s licence
