About the Role:
This key position is responsible for delivering high-quality mental health care to individuals in need. As a valued member of our team, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide specialist nursing care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough mental health assessments and physical examinations to inform treatment plans
* Monitor patients' responses to biological treatments and adjust plans as needed
* Develop and implement therapeutic nursing strategies to promote patient engagement and empowerment
* Foster effective communication and collaboration with healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Requirements:
* Holding current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
* Possessing a Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent qualification in psychiatric nursing
* Demonstrating expertise in communication techniques for interacting with individuals experiencing mental health issues
* Showing a deep understanding of person-centred care principles and their application in mental health settings
