To provide enabling, domiciliary and personal care assistance to individuals who are experiencing physical, developmental and cognitive disabilities in a variety of situations including in the home, group situations and community.
Location: All South Australia Metropolitan Regions (North East South West)
* Follow organisation's policies and procedures
* Inform of any reportable incidents
* Guide participants in complaints and feedback processes
* Meet NDIS Code of Conduct requirements
* Implement support plans and monitor progress
* Maintain records of client progress
* Strengthen participants' ability to coordinate supports
* Provide supports to enhance participants' ability to travel and use public transport independently
* Transport participants to therapy or appointments or day options
* Assist participants in active community, social and civic activities
* Assist participants in group-based community, social and recreational activities
* Assist in building client self-image and self-confidence
* Assess clients to determine continuing needs
* Assist in day option activities
* Drive a 12‐seater vehicle
* Assist outdoor games and sports
* Behaviour observation and support
* Assist with accommodation and tenancy obligations
* Perform basic hygiene tasks such as bathing
* Perform daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry
* Take participants to the shops
* Complete chores
* Administer medication
* Clean rooms
* Follow policies and procedures
* Partake in all training
* Other duties as required
Experience: 6 months (Negotiable)
Skills:
* Punctuality is a must
* Reliability and flexibility
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Empathetic and proactive with a genuine interest to work in this field
* Innate caring nature
* Ability to self‐supervise and remain calm
