About the role

This is a key position in the School of Nursing to teach and co-ordinate courses in nursing in the undergraduate and post graduate programs. This position also supports high quality teaching that is informed by research and incorporates innovative online learning activities and assessments to ensure a high level of student satisfaction and pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities

* Responsible for the preparation and delivery of substantial components of courses
* Prepare and deliver curriculum components that align with the staff member's disciplinary and professional background
* Provide leadership to other staff within the teaching team
* Undertake a variety of activities to ensure ongoing improvement in teaching practice
* Attend School meetings as required and participate in school and university wide committees and activities as required
* Contribute to the scholarship of teaching and learning and / or professional practice in the discipline
* Demonstrate commitment to seeking and responding to feedback (student, peers and supervisor) to improve teaching practice

Qualifications, skills & experience

* Hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent and a minimum Postgraduate certificate qualification in a relevant discipline.
* Current nurse registration with Ahpra
* Have at least 3 years clinical nursing experience
* A demonstrated ability to develop teaching resources and deliver courses in a variety of formats, including the effective use of online learning management within a tertiary environment
* Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skill with the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Have experience in teaching in the tertiary environment
