We have a brand new permanent opening for a Senior Process Control Engineer to join the site Processing Department at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine.
Reporting to the Technical Metallurgy Superintendent; this is a key position that will look at the optimisation of Process Control Systems (PCS) within the processing plant and contractor management for PCS services rendered.
You will develop and execute a maintenance strategy that ensures high availability of PCS hardware and software, including measurement instruments critical to production.
A site based role on an 8 days on/6 days off FIFO roster, where we offer a quick commute and direct flights to our site from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie.
As a Senior Process Control Engineer at Sunrise Dam, you need to cross collaborate with other disciplines and business units, understand the complexities of underground and be across 'who does what' to ensure successful outcomes in your contribution.
Accountabilities
* Promote a strong safety culture, supporting the AGA safety vision and values, identifying and mitigating risks within the mining operations
* Establishing a knowledge base, developing work relationships with stakeholders, problem solving within Citect and PLC logic controllers
* Work with stakeholders to develop and implement robust standards that drive consistency, protect people and equipment, and allow a timely response to alarms and process interruptions
* Projects such as additions to Citect, changes to Citect, control philosophy implementations, standardisation, automation
* Ensure instruments are accurate and precise to deliver consistent production requirements
* Implement and deliver compliance with site HSE&C Policies within shift and with all TGM interactions
About You
People are at the heart of everything we do. We want you to collaborate with us, share your ideas and feel confident to challenge the status quo. To be considered, we would like to see you have:
* A recognised tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field
* Be able to self motivate and work autonomously with wider support
* Previous multiple years mine related experience held within this role and preferably within mineral processing plants
* Ability to configure and deploy SCADA systems, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and other control devices
* Strong analytical skills, combined with high attention to detail and the ability to proactively identify and assess issues and opportunities
* Solid communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
* Have a passion for creating structure with a continuous improvement mindset
