Dental Assistant – Orthodontics

We are excited to welcome an experienced Dental Assistant to our friendly, patient-focused orthodontic team. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a genuine interest in orthodontics who is looking to further develop their skills in a supportive, high-quality clinical environment.
This is a 4-day per week role (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday), working across our modern practices in Rockingham, Winthrop and Harrisdale, with exposure to both clinical assisting and limited reception support.
About the Role
This is a varied and hands-on position combining chairside orthodontic assisting with some administrative duties as required. We value organisation, efficiency, attention to detail, and a calm, caring approach to patient care. If you enjoy a fast-paced role where no two days are the same, this position will suit you well.
Key Responsibilities
* Chairside assisting for our Orthodontist and Orthodontic Therapist
* Welcoming patients and ensuring a smooth, positive experience
* Instrument preparation and sterilisation in line with infection control protocols
* Taking intraoral photographs, radiographs and 3D scans (iTero)
* Accurate documentation of clinical notes and treatment records
* Supporting reception and appointment bookings when required
About You
* Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (preferred)
* Previous experience working as a Dental Assistant (orthodontic experience highly regarded but not essential)
* Proactive, organised, and comfortable working in a busy clinical environment
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of patient care
* A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to follow systems and processes
* A growth mindset and interest in ongoing professional development
