About The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly motivated Patient Transport Officer to contribute to the safe transfer of patients in a variety of situations in the Hunter - Cardiff area. You'll be responsible for providing safe and timely transport of patients and contribute to the delivery of quality care and excellence in customer service within a cost effective and efficient environment.

Qualifications
Must hold a current NSW unrestricted Manual Light Rigid Driver's Licence.
Must not have incurred more than six demerit points in the last three years or had a licence suspended or cancelled in the last two years.
A driving record will be requested during the recruitment process.
Preferred candidates must be fit tested to an approved respirator prior to employment and maintain a cleanly shaven face to obtain an adequate seal.
All new staff are required to attend a compulsory Full Time (2 Week) induction course; inability to commit to the full two weeks will result in the application not progressing to the next stage.
Must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa).
Must be able to obtain a Working with Children Check for paid work within NSW.
Must be able and willing to work a seven-day rotational roster including public holidays, early morning commencement and late evening completion time and reasonable overtime.
Must be prepared to undergo required immunisation, TB screening, and a physical pre-employment health assessment if identified as a preferred candidate and external to HealthShare NSW.

I hold a current senior first aid certificate and have uploaded my certificate as part of the application process.
I hold a current NSW unrestricted Manual Light Rigid Driver's Licence and have NOT incurred more than six demerit points in the last three years or had my licence suspended/cancelled in the last two years and am able to supply a copy of my driving record as part of the recruitment process.
I am willing and able to obtain a Working with Children Check for paid work within NSW.
I acknowledge that if successful I will need to attend a full-time induction programme that consists of two weeks Monday through Friday.

This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and tuberculosis (TB) screening. Refer to NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 12) for a complete list of required vaccines.
