Biosecurity Officer (Preparedness)
We are looking for a biosecurity officer (Preparedness) to join our high performing team at Biosecurity Queensland.
Responsibilities
Support effective teamwork by contributing positively to group tasks and, where relevant, providing guidance to new/inexperienced colleagues.
Independently and consistently undertake risk-based decision making within all activities, including associated documentation/record keeping.
As a Biosecurity Officer you will demonstrate technical emergency response capabilities enabling you to work in preparedness teams and on projects to help protect the Queensland biosecurity system.
You will be responsible for independently undertaking clearly defined activities as part of a team to achieve effective and efficient delivery of the relevant preparedness plans.
You will also provide information, advice and assistance to local stakeholders relating to biosecurity emergency responses.
