Job Description:
The role of Senior Process Engineer involves driving sales growth and managing client relationships within designated territories.
This position requires proactive engagement with clients, leveraging technical expertise, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.
The Senior Process Engineer will be expected to work independently, identifying and qualifying opportunities that align with industry trends and technological advancements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies targeting key markets and accounts
* Identifying new market opportunities and product applications
* Preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs
* Negotiating terms and pricing to secure deals in line with target margins
* Broadening territory and key customers, requiring travel of approximately 18 weeks per year to meet clients and manage the territory effectively
* Demonstrating deep understanding of physical separation processes, including gravity and magnetic separation
* Collaborating with internal departments to ensure a streamlined sales process
* Coordinating technical discussions, demonstrations, and trials with customers
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process or Metallurgical Engineering and proven experience as a Process Engineer or Metallurgist within the mining industry
* Or proven experience as a top-performing sales professional within the mining industry
* Expertise in physical separation processes and equipment is a plus
* Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time independently to meet deadlines
* Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
* Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite
* Willingness to travel extensively, including to client offices and on-site visits, with an expectation of 20 weeks of travel per year
