We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to take ownership of our global IT systems infrastructure across both on‐premises and cloud environments. This is a hands‐on senior role focused on reliability, security, scalability, and continuous improvement of enterprise systems.
Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, you will play a critical role in the design, administration, and optimisation of IMDEX's global systems environment. You'll work across servers, networks, cloud platforms, security, and disaster recovery, while partnering closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
The Opportunity
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain a global IT infrastructure spanning on‐premises and cloud platforms
* Administer and support Windows and Linux server environments, including configuration, patching, backup, and recovery
* Manage Entra ID / Hybrid Active Directory environments and Intune MDM
* Support virtualisation platforms (VMware / Hyper‐V)
* Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, and connectivity (Palo Alto, Panorama)
* Implement and maintain security controls and ensure compliance with relevant standards
* Own backup and disaster recovery planning and regular testing (including cloud backup)
* Perform capacity planning, performance analysis, and cost optimisation (particularly cloud spend)
* Provide high‐level technical support and mentoring to colleagues when required
* Maintain accurate documentation, diagrams, and system inventories
* Work with vendors and cloud providers to ensure service quality and value
* Participate in on‐call support for critical system issues when required
What You'll Bring
You are a seasoned Systems Administrator with strong experience in complex, multi‐site or global environments. You're confident working across infrastructure, cloud, security, and networking, and you take pride in building stable, well‐documented systems that work.
Qualifications & Experience
* 5+ years' experience in Systems Administration within enterprise or global environments
* Strong expertise in Windows and Linux server administration
* Proven experience managing Entra ID, Hybrid AD, and Intune
* Solid networking knowledge including firewalls, VPNs, and network troubleshooting
* Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper‐V)
* Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of systems end‐to‐end
