Our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy will see Gladstone Hospital developed as a centre for emergency care, medical inpatient and day surgery excellence. This will optimise outreach services to deliver care closer to home in the Gladstone and Banana rural communities.
About the role:
Provide comprehensive administrative support within the Transit Lounge, Hospital in the Home (HITH) and Renal inpatient units areas of the Gladstone Hospital and Health Service while providing a professional and high-quality customer service to the general public, patients / clients, staff and visitors.
About you:
* Act as a point of contact, respond to enquiries and provide accurate information and assistance to staff, patients and visitors in a confidential manner to facilitate effective service delivery within a busy inpatient setting.
* Perform the daily administrative activities of the Transit Lounge, Hospital in the Home and Renal inpatient clinic.
* Prioritise workload effectively and perform duties responsibly in the absence of supervision.
* Liaise with patients and their representatives, referring doctors, Health Insurance Commission (HIC), health/travel insurance funds, Department of Veteran Affairs, Workcover and any person who service is provided or received.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $92,773 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $ $43.16 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
