About the role
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate and ensure all revenue activities associated with Gladstone West Wing are actioned in an effective and efficient manner, whilst also supporting the existing Revenue team. The Revenue Officer Gladstone West Wing is to provide a high level of customer service to patients and other private providers/stakeholders of the West Wing site.
This position actively supports Health Service revenue initiatives and assists with the development, implementation and co-ordination of effective financial accounting and data collection processes. The Revenue Officer Gladstone West Wing is to provide advice, training and education to staff and other clients (including West Wing tenants), to ensure revenue opportunities are maximised.
* Take a leading role with regard to all aspects of Gladstone West Wing revenue by identifying and developing opportunities for the generation of revenue and investigating and formalising new revenue raising initiatives within the facility and broader Health Service in accordance with Queensland Health financial policies and procedures.
* Provide a high quality, customer focused liaison and option management service to patients, staff and clients, that ensures an informed choice about treatment as a public or private patient is available and in the process is straightforward to ensure informed financial consent in all interactions.
* Monitor and review patient data to identify potential chargeable patients/events in accordance with best practice principles to ensure all possible revenue is raised. Follow up data anomalies through appropriate channels and provide ad hoc, weekly and monthly reports as directed by the Revenue Manager.
About you
* Experience in accounts receivable and cash handling.
* Demonstrated knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire sound knowledge of the provisions of relevant Policy, Procedures, Legislation or Directive, which relates to patient eligibility, billing and Private Practice arrangements.
* Demonstrated high standard of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to consult and negotiate with patients, external agencies and a wide range of health personnel.
* Demonstrated ability to apply analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills and use sound judgment when liaising and negotiating with key stakeholders.
What we offer
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $8,895 p.m. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $47.18 - $51.98 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
