The Role
This is a pivotal coordination role interfacing between design and construction teams across civil, architectural, MEP, and structural disciplines. Youll drive constructability reviews, manage temporary works designs, supervise shop drawings, and coordinate as-built documentation. You'll also play a lead role in Safety in Design processes and facilitate key interactions across JV partners, subcontractors, and in-house delivery teams.
Responsibilities
1. Coordinate design development with construction requirements across all disciplines
2. Participate in both design and construction progress meetings
3. Review design deliverables for constructability and quality
4. Manage temporary works design and delegate site inspections
5. Supervise and review production of shop drawings
6. Centralise field change requests and manage as-built documentation
7. Lead Safety in Design initiatives and contribute to Zero Harm culture
8. Ensure quality, compliance, and PMM processes are upheld across delivery
Requirements
9. Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
10. Min. 5 years' experience in design coordination or similar roles on infrastructure projects
11. Strong knowledge of design development and construction interfaces
12. Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
13. Skilled in drawing and document review, temporary works, and design change management
14. Excellent communication and organisation skills, with resilience under pressure
15. Proficiency in document management systems such as SharePoint
