A leading government-owned corporation in North Queensland is seeking a motivated Asset Management Officer to join their Cairns-based team. Your new role
As Asset Management Officer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and operating the organisation's Asset Management and related systems. You'll be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of asset data, supporting the development and implementation of asset and maintenance management plans, and coordinating maintenance activities across a diverse asset portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintain and operate Asset Management systems (Dynamics 365), ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with ISO55000 principles.
* Schedule and manage asset condition inspections, audits, and the close-out of resulting actions.
* Support staff in the effective use of asset management systems, providing training and troubleshooting as needed.
* Liaise with stakeholders to develop and review asset and maintenance management plans, ensuring all asset classes are covered.
* Coordinate and manage the programming and scheduling of maintenance activities, including planned maintenance regimes and work order management.
* Provide regular analysis and reporting to support asset management objectives and compliance.
* Ensure asset data is updated following renewals, replacements, maintenance, and disposals.
* Promote safety, environmental awareness, and risk management in line with organisational frameworks.
* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, inclusivity, and open communication.
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience in Asset Management and CMMS (MS Dynamics 365 knowledge or experience highly regarded)
* Mechanical or electrical trade qualification (desirable) and/or Certificate in Asset Management.
* Proven experience in maintenance planning and works program delivery, ideally within a ports, marine, or infrastructure environment.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
* High level of conceptual and analytical skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
