About the Role
Machinery Services Australia (MSA), part of the General Services Group (GSG), is seeking an experienced Field Service EWP Mechanic to join our growing team.
This is a mobile, field-based role with a primary focus on Elevating Work Platforms (EWPs), along with other access and light plant equipment across the GSG group. You'll operate from a fully equipped service vehicle, attending customer sites across Queensland and New South Wales.
The role offers autonomy, variety and long-term stability, backed by a team that values safety, compliance and doing the job properly.
Job Description
You will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of EWPs as the core equipment type, as well as other access and light plant equipment as required.
Key responsibilities include:
* Field-based inspection, servicing and preventative maintenance of EWPs
* Diagnostics, fault finding and breakdown repairs
* Maintenance and repair of other access and light plant equipment within the GSG group
* Completion of compliance inspections, service reports and job documentation
* Major inspections and rectification works where applicable
* Professional onsite customer liaison
* Identification and reporting of safety issues, defects and improvement opportunities
* Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer requirements, Australian Standards and WHS obligations
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Trade qualification as a mechanic, fitter or equivalent experience
* Proven experience working on EWPs and access equipment
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience working on EWPs and access equipment
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
* Ability to work independently in a field service environment
* Good understanding of safety, compliance and WHS requirements
* Current driver's licence
* EWP High Risk Work Licence (desirable, not essential)
* Strong communication skills and a professional approach onsite
* Australian work rights are required for this position
