This will optimise outreach services to deliver care closer to home in the Gladstone and Banana rural communities. We offer acute inpatient and specialist outpatient services at Gladstone hospital as well as a range of quality community-based healthcare and support services close to home in the Gladstone area.## ## About the role:The Operational Services Supervisor ensure a quality cleaning, catering, linen, fire, safety and security, waste and ward services function to Gladstone Hospital facility. They fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Public Service objectives and Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) values as outlined in this role description and follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken, in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces for all employees.* Supervise units within Operational Services including monitoring work production, quality of service and overall effectiveness by evaluating progress according to Queensland Health standards, relevant legislation, and guidelines.* Complete fortnightly rostering across Operational Services and submit through myHR.* Complete all documentation in relation to roster changes in a timely manner.* Complete maintenance requests and raise purchase requisitions to order goods through S/4 HANA.* Raise Limit Orders for regular suppliers and receipt goods/invoices on a regular basis.* Oversee the Food Safety Program including the monthly auditing system as the Food Safety Supervisor.## About you:* Good supervisory skills including planning, organising, monitoring and evaluating.* High level of negotiation and communication skills, including oral and written.* Capacity to develop and maintain an effective and motivated team.* Capability to identify opportunities for improvement and to resolve issues in a timely manner.* Ability to use basic office applications and other information technology and communication systems relevant to the work unit including myHR and S4HANA.* Maintain work unit rosters on a fortnightly basis.**What we offer:**Total remuneration value of up to $49,953 p.a. is comprised of:* An hourly rate between $44.43 - $48.86 p.h.* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution* 17.5% leave loading**Additional Benefits*** Ongoing Professional Development and Education Opportunities* Flexible Work-Life Balance and Variety* Generous Salary Sacrificing Options* Paid Parental Leave* Employee Assistance Program (EAP)* Discounted Private Health Insurance* Fitness Passport## Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements:It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases as listed on the Role Description.## How to apply:To apply, please submit the following:* Your current CV or resume, including referees.* A cover letter (1-2 pages) addressing how your experience, skills and values align with the key responsibilities and expectations outlined in the Role Description.* Any additional forms / evidence as attached or listed on the Role Description.For assistance:1.
