Position summary

Working under limited direction, the Corporate Risk Officer uses their technical expertise to contribute to the delivery of functions and the achievement of outcomes for which their team is responsible. They work as part of a small team in a multidisciplinary environment, possess an outcome focused mindset, embody a proactive approach to achieving results and exhibit robust professional ethics and judgement.

Our Ideal Candidate / Selection criteria

- Demonstrated experience in supporting processes and projects relating to enterprise risk, quality management and/or legislative compliance functions.
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a team in to effectively deliver services/functions and achieve outcomes for which it is responsible.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment, while applying strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail to consistently deliver high quality outcomes.
- Sound written and oral communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships across a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated research, analytical, critical thinking and problem‐solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to self‐motivate, work independently and display initiative and confidence.

The folowing desirable criteria will also be assessed:

- Tertiary qualifications in risk management, quality management, governance, business or a related field
- Experience in the public sector and/or regulator operations.

If an offer of non‐ongoing employment is made, the successful applicant could be employed for an initial period of up to 12 months, which may be extended in accordance with subsection 333E (1) of the Fair Work Act 2009. The merit pool established through this selection process, which is valid for a period of eighteen months from the date the vacancy was advertised, may also be used to fill future similar ongoing and non‐ongoing vacancies.
