At Aveo, we're dedicated to providing a supportive culture where our team members can grow and thrive. As a Maintenance Officer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep of our retirement village, working closely with residents and staff to deliver exceptional results.
The Opportunity
We're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our established team at Albany Creek Retirement Village. This part‐time opportunity will see you work Tuesday-Friday, 8am-4pm, carrying out light repairs, maintenance, and groundskeeping tasks. You'll be responsible for connecting with residents and working collaboratively with your colleagues to maintain our buildings, common areas, and units.

Your Responsibilities
* Attend to various maintenance requests around the village (basic domestic repair tasks)
* Carry out preventative maintenance tasks (e.g., pool checks, high‐pressure cleaning, smoke alarm checks, and bins etc.)
* Liaise with your fellow maintenance team to ensure projects are completed to a high standard
* Use our system app to log, track, and record job progress
* Help out around the village with additional tasks
* Be a friendly face to the residents and work alongside a fantastic team
* Please note – this is not a gardening role. We've got that covered
Your Skills and Qualifications
* A genuine interest in learning new skills, being outdoors, and hands‐on who will enjoy chatting with residents
* Skilled or experienced in domestic repair or handyperson tasks (e.g., painting) (highly desired)
* Automatic driver's licence (required)
* Two (2) COVID‐19 Vaccinations (required)
* Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not have one, we can complete for you)
