We aren't looking for a generic salesperson. We are looking for a Construction Industry Insider.
The Vickery Group (Vickery Holdings & Fence Hire Australia) has been serving the Downs for 20+ years. We are entering a growth phase and need a Sales Representative who can hit the ground running because they already know the players and the products.
The Role You will be the face of two brands. Your job is to get our Reinforcing Steel and Temporary Fencing onto sites across the region.
* Vickery Holdings: You will be selling ACRS-approved reinforcing steel. This requires technical knowledge. You need to be able to talk confidently with concreters, builders, and project managers.
* Fence Hire Australia: You will ensure we are the first call for site security fencing.
The "Perfect" Candidate We don't want to teach you what a construction site looks like. We want someone who:
* Has Existing Contacts: You know the local builders, concreters, and civil contractors in Toowoomba and the Darling Downs. You can pick up the phone and get a meeting.
* Knows Steel (Highly Desirable): If you have a background in reinforcing steel, concrete, or building materials, you are exactly who we want.
* Can "Talk Shop": You are as comfortable on a muddy job site as you are in a boardroom.
* Is a Hunter: You aren't just waiting for the phone to ring; you are out finding the next pour or the next project start date.
What You Bring:
* Proven sales experience in the Construction or Building Materials industry.
* Ability to read or understand basic construction plans/take-offs is a massive advantage.
* A valid driver's licence and a history of reliability.
