About the role
In this role, our ideal Counsellorwill work a minimum of 2 days in our Toowoomba-based office, & will be pivotal on delivering the best possible outcomes for our clients. The ideal candidate will have opportunities to progress their careers within the team.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
* conducting one-on-one and family counselling sessions with clients to help them address a wide range of personal, emotional, and psychological issues
* providing high-quality couples counselling sessions with a real passion to provide support and guidance
* developing personalised treatment plans & implementing evidence-based counselling techniques
* maintaining accurate client records and case notes in a confidential manner
* collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated & holistic care for clients
* participating in regular supervision and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
What we're looking for
* Counselling qualification (Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred)
* Current registration with a relevant industry association (e.g. ACA level 2+, PACFA clinical)
* Min. 2 FT equivalent years experience in a counselling-specific role
* Proficient computer skills and attentive to detail
* Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain) and NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)
* Satisfactory National Police Check.
The following are desirable but not essential:
* Additional Psychotherapy qualifications
* Training in Gottman Method
* Experience providing child therapy
* Telehealth counselling experience
* Senior First Aid certificate.
